When evaluating product for your project, look for products that use recycled and recyclable materials, wood that is FSC certified and additionally sealed to reduce the effects of formaldehyde, use recycled content for wood veneers, and use
finishes and solvents that are water-based and solvent-free.  Products that have a very low level of chemical emissions
allow for healthier indoor air quality. When you make fabric choices, take a look at textiles that are eco-responsible, biodegradable, and made from recycled material.  There are many that fall into this category. When possible, look to
purchase from regional manufacturers, reducing the amount of fuel used to transport your product.
